Kat turned to the two ladies, with a grin. "Hello, yes, I am Kat Garcia," she said a little too late. This Aubrey chick seemed pretty chill, and a person Kat would hang out with. Kat noticed Skye buying something, but Kat preferred to not carry around anything ‘HT’ as people called it. Kat saw some sex items around, play boy bunny necklaces, and costumes she guessed. How on Earth did this place do well, Kat asked herself.
Dressed in dark wash skinny jeans, a black tank top with a plaid shirt drooped on her shoulders and dark faux-leather ankle boots with faux-fur she felt, different. These girls wore band t-shirts, and combat boots, things Kat would never think of wearing. They might look like they pushed buttons, when in reality they weren’t scary or anything. Just people.

Skye looked at Kat who seemed a little crepped out over HT. She began to laugh a bit, "Don't worry were going to leave this store soon. I just don't wear band tees all the time, silly." Skye said while wearing a grin. She walked up to the cashier to pay for her stuff as well. Her total was $34.96. Skye handed the cashier 40 dollars. The cashier gave her the money back. She slowly walked back to Kat and waited for Aubrey to finish purchasing her iteams.

"We better," Kat muttered under her breathe. There were some interesting people in this place, and plenty of porn to go around and an ungodly smell. The aroma in this place was cheap perfume, didn't they want customers, not scare them away?
Kat wished Aubrey would hurry up and pay, so she could run out of the store. She needed a dose of advil to get rid of her massive headache. She spun around looking at the wall of t-shirts with iPhone games and Katy Perry, so maybe not everything was all bad, but it wasn't something she would wear herself.

Aubrey went to the counter to pay for the CD . "Do you have a HT +1 Card ?" The all too familiar question was asked by the cashier . Aubrey nodded her head , pulling out the card . "Yup , here ya go ." She replied , handing to him . The card was scanned , then the Cd . The price came to $15 . Well , it was cheaper than in Germany . She paid the cashier and got the CD and her card in return . "Thank you ." She said , as she walked away . She reached Skye and Kat . She looked towards Kat to say hello , but noticed she wasn't very comfortabl there . Aubrey wondered why people weren't too comfortable in such an amazing store . Was it the lighting ? The music ? The "scary" bands ? Hot Topic wasn't even as bad as it used to be . The cashiers weren't as harsh with people who didn't have the "Hot Topic Look" . They started selling more things Pop Oriented such as Justin Bieber , Lady Gaga , etc etc ... They still sold more of the "scarier" bands . But , it wasn't bad . She looked at Skye . "Y'know . I could've just given you one of my bracelets , so you didn't have to spend money on one here . I mean , since they're expesive and all ?" Aubrey said . She realized the offer was a little late , but still . She then shifted her gaze to Kat again , a smile forming on her face . "We can leave if you want . I take it you don't like such an amazing store as this ?" She asked , glancing at one of the mirrors . She felt like her eye makeup was smeary . It may have been because she didn't put as much on as ususal ? |

Skye smiled, "Well, its a bit too late for that now." She let out a small chuckle. It was suprising that Aubrey offered her the bracelet. If she offered sooner she would have very much taken. But, it was a bit too late for that now. Skye was ready to move to the next store. She enjoyed Hot Topic but, she really needed to get some other things.
"I'm ready to go. I need to grab something to wear for my next gig." Skye said with a slight smirk. She really did though. It was coming up really soon. Skye also wanted to give Aubrey some hints of the things she does. Maybe they could have some more things in common. Skye glimpsed at Kat then Aubrey with an innocent smile. She waited to leave Hot Topic and go to another store.

Aubrey smiled . "I'm sorry ." She said . The smile then slowly faded to a pout . She was joking . But , it was believable . She was pretty good with making faces that could easily be believed . But , she didn'y use them too often . Skye then mentioned something about a gig and it caught Aubrey's attemtion . "Wait , what ?" She asked as she began walking . She wanted to get Kat out of there as she did seem uncomfortable . Once out of the store , Aubrey looked at Skye . "Gig as in ... you sing ?" She asked , wanting to know . One of the first people she meets here happens to have something in common . And that was a big something . Or so she hoped . |

Skye grinned because Aubrey mentioned it. She nodded her head, "Yes I sing. I also play gutiar and piano." It was a great talent of hers. And talking about it made her grin. She wasn't good at alot of things. It was the very few things she had to actual brag about. Skye had been playing for about 5-6 years now. When she was a kid her parents made her learn the two instraments and vocal lessons. They wanted her to be an over- rechever. But, they never thought she would ever enjoy doing it or become attached to it. They wanted to her to be a business women. That was no where near Skye though. She had other dreams and was going to presuit them.
Skye moved a strand of hair out of her face while walking side by side with Kat and Aubrey. She hoped Kat could help her with a stunning lady like outfit. It wasn't like Skye knew had to dress. It was that Kat had pretty good taste and wanted some help and opinons on a girly like outfit. Skye had a couple but decided she needed something fresh. She was hoping for something like a light pink and brown. Or maybe some other outfit. This is why she desperately needed Kat's help.

Aubrey smiled . "Oh my gosh . I sing , play piano , and lpay guitar too ." She said , excitedly . She enjoyed singing a lot . It wasn't just a hobby . It was her life . She was into music at a very young age as well . But , it was encouraged or pushed on to her . She practically had to beg her mother to get her piano lessons . The guitar , she managed to learn on her own with a little help from a few friends . Her voice didn't need much help . But she took voice lessons anyway . She didn't want her accent to be too noticable when she did sing , unless it was a German song of course . "So , where will you be singing ? I also have a gig coming up ." She said . Aubrey glanced over at the quiet Kat , and attempted to think of something to say that would involve the three of them . She didn't like hanging out with people who secluded her from conversations back home , so she worked on including others in whatever she could . Besides it was a little awkward to have someone there who wasn't saying much . Her eyes shifted back to Skye as she waited for a reply . But , before she could say anything Aubrey wanted to know how long Skye had been into music . She bit her bottom lip to keep from asking . She didn't want to overwhelm the girl with questions as she had just met her . |

Skye grinned, "At this small place this coming Sunday. Its not that big. Maybe we might end up bumping into each other." Skye said egearly. This was a very intresting topic. She looked at Kat, "Kat sings sometimes too." Skye added to try and include her a bit. It only seemed as if Skye's smile kept growing wider and wider. For once, she was in a really good mood. Today, couldn't have gotten much perfect for her.

"Oh , Sunday ... My gig happens to be on Monday . It's not a very small venue . Lately I've been playing Coffee Shops around here . But , I'll be playing a slightly larger place . Apparently my YouTube videos haven't only been seen by my friends in Florida and some in Germany ." She stated . She was a little surprised at that . She knew she was good , but she didn't expect tons of people to know her . She looked from Skye to Kat . "She does ? That's so awesome ." She stated . "Are you guys best friends ?" She asked , forgetting the questions she had wanted to ask a short while ago . One thing about Aubrey , she can forget what she had for breakfast that day . Her mind is sometimes gone . She can start a sentence , end up cutting herself off mid-sentence , and talk about a completely different thing . |

Skye nodded her head, "Thats pretty sweet. The biggest gig I've gotten is at a opening for 3 days Geace concert." Skye stated with a smile. She looked at Aubrey wondering what she had been thinking. Skye shrugged when she asked if Skye and Kat were best friends. "I guess so." She laughed with a smile. "We hang out alot and stuff." Skye admitted with a friendly smirk.

"Three Days Grace ? Oh wow , that's so awesome ." She replied , excitedly . Three Days Grace was a band she liked a lot , though she didn't know too too many songs . She knew enough to like them .
