”You’re a life saver!” Sam squalled taking the supplies from her as she began to dag her dress and used the stain stick. So far it was working, thank goodness. ”I’ll be right back,” she whispered as she wondered off to the bathroom. It took her a while to find it but when she did she stepped in and closed the door and locked it behind her. Samantha got the napkin damp, not too wet, and began to dab her dress. It began to come out, and finally the stain was all gone.
Sam returned and found Maddee still there. ”Back,” she said, doing an emergency hair flip, since her hair slowly became flat. Just then Aaron came to greet them. ”Hey you’re looking sharp,” she said friendly. She noticed he already knew Maddee, as he hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. It was cute, really.

A young lady sat in the back of a yellow cab, admiring the palm trees planted on the side of the road. Her butt sank in the worn leather seats, as she twiddled her thumbs. The only light she saw was the cab’s headlights, causing her to get butterflies in her stomach. As the cab slowly pulled to a stop, she looked out the window once more, seeing mansions on either side of the road. She obliviously wasn’t in Texas anymore. She twisted her index finger around the end of her braid and nibbled her finger nails on her free hand.
She thought about why on earth she was there, but just as she started her thoughts, they were interrupted. ”Were almost there miss,” a voice said from in front of her, with a faint Spanish accent. She nodded her head in return, acknowledging the driver.
As she went back to her thoughts, she remembered why she was on this journey. Her mother had recently died in a car crash, and she was her only immediate family. Alexandria, the girl, was a surprise baby to her mom, since she was not wed and she couldn’t remember anything that happened that night. Alex had met her father a few times in the past, and remembered he lived in Los Angeles, California. Which was the reason she was here, after all, she had nowhere to go.
The cab pulled up to a mansion, packed with cars on the side of the roads and a few limos in the circle driveway. She handed the driver some wadded up bills as he stepped out of car to grab her luggage. Alexa thanked him, as she grabbed her bags from him and looked at the path way in front of her. ”You’re this close, no turning back,” she told herself as she took one step after another forward ‘till she was at the front door.
There was a man standing at the door, welcoming guests. Alex pressed her palm to her cheek, realizing she was about to jump into a party. She was too close now, and it was too late to get her cab back. She followed the guests in, pulling her bags behind her, and paused to talk to the man at the door.
”Excuse me, Sir? she asked, to catch his attention. ”Is this the home of Mr. Caine?” she asked before he could reply to her first question. He looked hot, in slacks and a vest. She felt awful for intruding on the party, but she didn’t have a place to stay after all. She focused on her outfit to calm her nerves, as she looked down at her attire. She wore tall chocolate brown boots that went almost up to her knees. On Alexa’s legs she wore dark wash skinny jeans, as her thorax was clothed in a cashmere sweater with a sequent perfume embroidered on it. In a couple of moments, she would find out how the future would look.

Chance nodded as Aaron went into the house, already looking around at the house and the people inside. Sighing, he turned his attention to the Rolex watch he wore on his wrist, pulling his sleeve back he looked at the time before sliding it back down. He had been greeting people and was about to head into the party when another girl came up to him.
"Hi, I'm Chance Caine. Here for the party huh? Go on in and have fun." he greeted her though he had never seen her before. There were a lot of people he hadn't met before but he planned on making a lot of new friends. It was always a good idea to have a lot of friends. They definitely came in handy. As the new girl walked inside as well his light blue gaze caught sight of a pretty blonde girl walking up to the door as well. She wasn't dressed for the party and she was carrying some luggage as if she were going somewhere. When she spoked he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he looked at her, feeling like he should know her but was drawing a blank.
"Um yeah, I'm Chance Caine. Can I help you?" he asked, tilting his head a little as he looked her over before turning to look at her suitcases and stuff.

”Is Jake Caine here?” she asked, trying to get her facts right. She only saw her father a few times when she was little, and she didn’t really remember what he looked like too well, but this man was much too young. ”I didn’t know he had a son,” she accidently said out loud. She blushed a little, as she felt her cheeks turn a shade of pink. Well, at least she thought the man was his son, as he had the same last name.
There seemed to be a party going on, and she felt awful for intruding, but she needed to know if this was where she would /hopefully/ be staying for the next, couple of months to a year.

Roxi continued to scan the room, her light blue eyes taking in all of the people that were walking around or talking in small groups. Her eyes spotted Chance still at the front door, Tyson standing by himself at the bar watching Giselle as she stood talking to Claire and two other girls. A small smile formed on her lips and she went to the bar and ordered a drink before slowly making her way across the room.
She stopped when she caught sight of Aaron walking into the party. He looked around for a moment before heading over to Sam and Maddee. She hadn't known that he was going to be here. Usually parties, especially fancy ones with celebrities like this one weren't really his thing and yet here he was. She probably would have invited him to go if she had known he wanted to.
Shaking the thought from her head a smile crossed her face as she watched him for a moment. Taking a sip of her drink she watched him say hi to Sam, putting a hand on her shoulder. Roxi's light blue eyes followed Sam as she went to the bathroom and disappeared inside before she turned her attention back to Aaron.
Raising her eyebrows a bit as she saw him hug and kiss that Maddee girl. Confusion crossed her face as she tilted her head a little, wondering what was going on there. He wasn't one to do PDA and yet he had just kissed a random girl. It was on the cheek so it wasn't a huge deal but still she was curious to find out what was going on between the two of them. Her eyes watched him as he tried to catch his attention so that she could talk to him but not wanting to go over there and interrupt.

Chance was even more confused than before now. How did this girl know his father? It would make sense if she was a business woman or something but she was his age or younger. She wasn't exactly the age of people that his father usually knew. And how would she know his father without knowing he was his son? Even most of the men his father worked with knew about Chance. Because Chance was suppose to take over the company his father had built when he died but Chance wasn't really looking forward to that.
"No he's out of town on business. Is there something I can do for you?" he asked, shifting his weight to one side while putting his hands into the pockets of his pale gray pants. His light blue eyes looked her up and down as he still tried to place her. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't think of her name or if he knew her. Though with every passing moment it was becoming more clear that he didn't know her. Surely he would have remembered her by now if he did know her from somewhere. After all his memory wasn't that bad.

Alexandria looked down at her shoes and moved her feet around nervously. He didn’t know who she was, and she didn’t know who he was, besides his name being Chance, and that he was apparently Jake’s son. Clasping her hands together she finally spoke. ”I’m sorry to intrude on your..uh, party,” she started, feeling out of place. She wasn’t in Texas, and she didn’t have her mom to help her boost her confidence.
”I am Alexandria Louice, and your father, Jake, is also my father,” she tried to explain. ”Do you have anywhere we could talk?” she asked, feeling awkward out in the open to talk about such a matter. She needed to tell him about her mother’s death, and that this was the only place she could stay. Her mother had a will, but no one had told Alex what was on it yet, or how much money she would be getting. Not that the money mattered to her, as she was still trying to get over her mother passing.

Chance kept his eyebrows furrowed as he listened to her before he rasied them as her next words hit him. His father had another child? That had to mean that. . . he had an affair while he was married to Chance's mother. She wasn't that much younger than him he guessed so that was the only possibility. His mother had died when he was seven so she would be a lot younger than him if his father had gotten with her mom when his mother died so that obviously wasn't the case.
He furrowed his eyebrows once more as he looked down at his shoes and then gazed off into space, his mind was trying to comprehend everything before her words broke his train of thought and pulled him back to the present.
"Yeah sure, come on in." he said as he grabbed her suitcase and pulled it inside the house. He propped the front door open so other people could still come in and headed towards the stairs, her luggage still in his hand as he climbed up the stairs. No one from the party was allowed up there so it would be quiet and a good place to talk.
He led her down the long hallway of the large beach house mansion before letting her into his huge bedroom and setting her suitcase on the floor by his bedroom door. When she was inside he closed the door and turned to face her, his hands in his pockets once more.

”Thanks,” she said directed toward him picking up her bags, and letting her in to explain herself. No one was upstairs, so she comprehended that it was off limits. She noticed her furrowed his eyebrows quite a lot, which was understandable since she didn’t give a warning that she was coming.
She followed his up the stairs and in to the bedroom. Make this his bedroom. It was huge, and much bigger than her room in Texas. She still felt out of place, but when did she ever feel in place? In school she wasn’t popular or anything, so that too made her left out.
He stood across from him and gulped her saliva before speaking. ”As you might have just now figured out, I suppose your father had an affair, with my mother when he had a business trip in Texas. They were apparently drunk, and surprise! I was born,” she paused to fan herself. It was probably just her, but it felt rather hot in there.
”As I was saying, I was born. Your father gave us money to keep on with our lives, and visited us a couple times through my childhood. she fanned herself once again and played with her braid. ”My mother died, just about a week ago, leaving me to go nowhere. I have no immediate family, and your father is the closest thing to it.” she stopped again, feeling a batch of tears start to dwell in her eyes. “She was a big girls, big girls don’t cry,” she told herself. ”So, that leaves me, having nowhere to go, but here. And I ask of you, no, beg of you to please let me stay with you. I have no money, at least not until they figure out my mother’s will, and I’m off to college sometime, though I might take time off to deal with this.” she stopped to he could take it all in and reply.

Chance remained silent as she explained everything. He was still silent as he looked down at the floor, leaning his back against the wall next to his door. His muscular arms were crossed over his chest and his eyebrows were still furrowed as he thought long and hard about the situation.
He felt awful for her having just lost her mother and not having any other family. He had lost his mother as well but luckily he still had his dad. As he finally decided what to do he raised his head and unfurrowed his eyebrows before pushing himself up from the wall.
"You can stay here as long as you like. My. . . our. . . father won't be home till next month but you are free to make this your home for as long as you need. After all, you are technically my sister." he answered, his voice rather soft as he spoke. His light blue eyes shone with both sadness for her situation and hurt towards his father for cheating on his mother but there was nothing that could be done about it now and it wasn't her fault his father had been a dumbass and knocked up another woman while he was married.
"There is a couple spare bedrooms right down the hall. You can choose any one of them to stay in. Unpack your stuff and if you're hungry there is food at the party and also in the kitchen so help yourself. If you need anything just let me know, I will be around. I have to get back to the party for now but you can come down if you feel up to it. There is a bathroom off of each bedroom if you wanna take a shower. Just find me if you need anything." he replied as he turned and headed towards the door, opening it and looking back at her before he prepared to leave and get back to the party. He would need some time to get use to this but he knew he wouldn't have any hostility towards her. His father on the other hand was a different story.

Alexandria felt her eyes widen as he said she could stay. Here future really was in his hands and he was doing good things to her future so far. She watched his lip movements as he fixed 'my' to 'our.'. She complietly understood, as she would have made the same mistake if a stanger came to her door and claimed they were her sister.
"Thank you ever so much!" she said. She couldn't help but smile. He was very kind to let her stay. She would have gone in for a hug but it would had made the situation more awkward; if that was possible. "Go and enjoy your party," Alex insisted. She didn't want him to babysit her all night.
Grabbing her bags she shuffled out of the room and into the hallway. She went to the opposite end of the hall and looked for a room. She opened the door to the first room, seeing it was beach themed and cozy. She dragged her lugage behind her and dropped it near the bed. Things were looking up for Alex.

She was late again, she couldnt help that her Louboutin shoes lost a diamond and she was forced to buy another pair to match her dress. She exited her car and shut the door, locking it with her keys that dangled on her fingers before making her way up the driveway to Chances front door.
He wasnt there at the moment at the front door as she stepped inside, handing her purse to the doorman who gave her a numbered tag in which she slipped carefully in her dress. Wearing a cheetah print dress that was snug and a leather jacket over it that was studded she definitely was making an entrance to the party as everyone else was classic chic. She on the other hand, was rocker chic.
Making a bee line for the bar she needed a drink, but she only drank on special occasions, and rarely when she was at an outing. She ordered herself a tall glass of champagne, sipping it carefully as she didnt want to over indulge herself like others.
Fairly new she was to the entire industry, she usually made her way through with her music. But this; this was a different crowd she was running with. A Staten Island, New York girl who somehow ended up making it big in Hollywood was exactly a story most likely heard and all the more not so entertaining for the listeners. Supposedly she was going to sing for Chances party but she wasnt too sure. No specific note to hit, the type or modifications he wanted on his song. She didnt know. It wasnt like her to wing a performance, but if she had to then she was going too. It really wasnt that big of a deal, she was just blowing it out to be.

Chance smiled softly at her as she thanked him and then told him to get back to the party. He nodded before leaving her alone and heading back down the stairs. He would go talk to her either after the party ended or tomorrow morning. At the moment he didn't want to worry about anything or think about his damn father anymore. He just wanted to enjoy the party and have fun. Besides, everyone would probably be getting tired of just standing around and talking so he would need to get the events of the evening underway.
He headed down the stairs, glancing over his shoulder to see Alex taking her bags into one of the spare bedrooms on the end. When he reached the bottom of the stairs his light blue eyes caught sight of Allie, his costar on their new movie, Burlesque. He had asked her if she would be interested in performing at his party and here she was. A smile crossed his face as he went over to her to greet her.
"Well well well if it isn't the extremely talented Allie Browning. Welcome to the party, glad you could make it. Still wanna sing?" he asked her, kissing her hand as he had done to the other girls that had arrived. If she didn't want to sing anymore he would understand and be okay with it. After all she probably hadn't had time to prepare anything or even get ready for it with the short notice he had given her.

Allie smiled and slightly blushed as Chance kissed her hand, being courteous. "Well I am here arent I? Not just to get in your pants either." She joked, taking another sip of her champagne, a slight red liptstick mark forming around the rim.
She was nervous but that was always how she felt before she went to go perform for any reason. Chance was another deal though, a massive and bigger deal and the fact that he wanted her to sing at his party was certainly an honor. "Fifteen minutes?" She asked as she set her empty glass down.
