Putting on her left arrowed indicator, she pulled into the plaza that housed the bowling alley called Lucky Strike; a highly well known bowling alley. Sneakily, she found a parking spot towards the middle of the parking lot and she turned off her engine, grabbing her hand bag that was in the passenger seat.
Entering the bowling alley she was really hungry and climbed up on one of the bar stools as she ordered a glass of orange juice, taking slow sips as she pulled out her iPad and started reading yet another book that she had started. Her iPad was her lifeline for her portable library. She liked hard covered books better but she was really forgetful and they would have been lost all the time. She would never forget her iPad.
As she began reading the fourth paragraph on the page her cell phone buzzed and she checked her text messages, just one from her younger sister saying that she would be looking forward to catching up with her later at home over some dinner. Tucking her cell phone back into the designated pocket in her purse she returned her attention back on the page. |

Maddee looked at herself in the mirror once more as she put her car into park, she applied one more small layer of peach-pale lipgloss on her lips and smacked them together. She was meeting her bestfriend, Charlotte for some bowling and grub, a much needed girls night. The things with Aaron were over, but she was still getting over the whole situation. She grabbed her boho that was laying on the passenger seat next to her, and got out of her car. She locked the doors, she had just gotten the 2010 black Ford Escape, and didn't want anything to happen.
She began her stroll up to the entrance, wearing a simple cheetah printed cardigan, underneath a plain black tank and black skinny jeans. She had on black ankle boots, but it wouldn't really matter when she had to change into the bowling shoes. She opened the door and began walking towards the bar, looking at her phone. She saw Charlotte sitting there, reading on her Ipad. She smiled and snuck up behind her.
Maddee whipped her long, straight, brown hair to one side before poking Charlottes sides, "Are you ever not reading?" she teased, sitting to the left of Charlotte, she ordered a simple lemon water and smiled, waiting for her reaction. |

As her eyes scanned the screen she was suddenly poked in her side and she jolted upright. "Oh my goodness Maddee!" She said as she brushed her bangs out of her face as she tucked away her iPad. "Never. My book collection on my iPad keeps growing. Pretty soon I'll hold the new record for most online books. How are you?" She smiled as she swiveled her chair to face Maddee as they both sipped on their drinks.
"Been awhile since we chatted but how are things with Aaron?I I've been trying to text you but my phone kept malfunctioning so I bought a new one." The bar/grill part of Lucky Strike was very down to earth and calm with dim lighting and the popular songs playing quietly on the built in speakers.

Maddee laughed at Charlotte as she jumped up. "Nothing wrong with reading, I love to read." she sipped on her drink a little. As Charlotte spoke of Aaron, Maddee made a face. "I ran into him at his place of work, Starbucks. Lets just say it was...awkward." she shrugged a bit "A new phone? The same kind, or different?" She looked at her phone, to check her facebook, GG, and twitter, but nothing new came up. She looked at Charlotte, "Have you been seeing any boys?" she half teased curiously.[/b][/size]

"Actually no; no boys for me. I dont really know if I want a boyfriend. I mean, I do it's just... I dont want it to be some random guy, I want it to be someone I know really well and I am close to them." Males were always a popular gossip subject when it came to two average best friends, but Charlotte didnt really have much input on boys. Sure, she had; had her fair share of relationships and was a decent girlfriend but she had yet to settle down with someone special.
"Sorry, new phone... I got the iPhone 4, it's great and I definitely recommend buying it, especially when you want to by... books!" She cheered, pulling out her phone and handing it to Maddee. Her wallpaper cover on her phone was of her and Maddee just relaxing and having a fun day at Disneyland.

Maddee looked at her, pursing her lips. "No boys? My cousin, Jack, told me you two went out the other night." she raised her eyebrows and nudged Charlotte a bit, "Cmon, how'd that go?" She loved the idea that her best friend and her cousin went out. She didnt know if it was a formal date or not, but still it was an outing. Maddee grabbed her phone and examined it, it was almost similar to her Samsung Galaxy Vibrant, "Wow, that is nice." she smiled at Charlottes background, it was almost similar to Maddee's, but hers was them out on the beach. She smiled remembering the memories from that day at Disneyland.

"Haha, your cousin seems nice but I don't like him like that. There is someone that I like but it's a secret for now." She looked through the bar menu. "Want to order an appetizer?" She asked Maddee as she asked the bartender to put in an order for barbecued shrimp with macaroni and cheese. It was a good dish and highly popular at the resturant also bowling alley.
"Yeah it is a good phone... I like it." She said taking the phone from Maddee and put it back in her purse. "Besides, boys are overrated and we are so young Maddee." She tried to cheer both of them up. "We have forever to wait for the right guy to come along." It was true and Charlotte always practiced what she preached.

Maddee gasped as she spoke, "You cant even tell your bestfriend!?" she pouted a bit and looked at the menu with her. "Want to order some mozzarella sticks?" those were her favorite guilty pleasure foods. She smiled at Char and then looked down. "Guess who I ran into the other day." remembering the day made her smile a bit. She was right, you do have to wait forever for the right guy to come along, hopefully she would find hers soon enough.

"Mozzarella sticks, no thank you cannot afford it. Fruit platter for me." She smiled as she placed her order in with the waiter. "Well, I mean its Chance. But its no big deal." Charlotte said her fruit platter arriving soon after the waiter had left.
She stabbed the fruit with her fork before placing the cantaloupe in her mouth. "I saw, or read... Riley Kelly. I am so glad that you have found him! I remembered that we used to ooh and ahh over him and now he is yours! Congrats! I hope that the relationship is going strong?" She was so glad for Maddee. They both wanted to always find their dream guy and Maddee had already found hers.

Maddee was sipping on her drink when Charlotte spoke. She coughed a bit, choking on her drink "Oh my god! Chance!? No way!" She semi-freaked out at her. "That is so adorable! How long has this been going on?" she smiled at Charlotte and ate a Mozzarella stick.
She smiled as Charlotte said Rye's name. "Yeah, things are going so good with him. I'm really happy." she half blushed and sipped on her drink some more. She watched as Charlotte ate her fruit and laughed a bit. "I can't believe you're eating fruit." she chuckled a bit.

"Yes, Chance Caine. Well um... I dont know if anything is 'going on' but-" As she put air quotes around 'going on'. "Well I like him a lot and I think he likes me, I am just highly unsure of what is going on right now." She poked at the fruit again. "I really want to meet Rye. It has been a while since I have seen him."
Maddee's comment about her fruit made her stop. "Dancers and cheerleaders have got to stay healthy. Why, what is so wrong with fruit, it never did anything to you!" She teased, stabbing the fruit and waving it infront of her face while saying "Ooohh" In a haunting ghost voice.

Maddee smiled as she spoke of Chance. "Well maybe we could all go on a double date, or something." she smiled "I'd like to meet Chance, if you two get serious." she added looking at her mozzarella sticks.
Maddee rolled her eyes as Charlotte spoke, "Pffft, whatever. You can spoil yourself everyone in a while." She laughed as she waved the fruit in her face. She dipped a stick in marinara and put it in her face, "Take a bite, I dare you." she said jokingly before the put it in her own mouth.

A double date? "I'll definitely get back to you on that..." She smiled, "Im not even sure that I am going to have a first date with him." She laughed as Maddee told her that she could spoil herself every once in awhile and indulge herself.
"Well... just once." She smiled as she reached for a mozzarella stick and dipped it into the marinara sauce before popping it into her mouth. "Quite tasty... not bad." She teased as she munched on the cheese before swallowing and then taking a sip of her water.

Maddee shrugged a bit, "It was just a suggestion, but hopefully you two have a first date." She smiled and and watched Charlotte eat the mozzarella stick. She laughed as she ate it and then looked down at her plate. She ate the last stick and sipped on her coke. She placed her napkin on the plate and looked over at Charlotte. "That was so good!" she smiled and looked at the waiter, telling him to bring the checks. "Ready to get your ass kicked at bowling?' she said in a competitive/joking way as she waited for the waiter to being their checks.
