The day was bright and the sun shone from above. It seemed like time was going by so fast and yet it really wasn't. She had only been sitting on the bench in the park for about fifteen minutes and yet it felt like hours. Her life was rather slow at the moment and she wasn't sure she liked it.
She needed some friends. She had guy friends but not many of them were friends that weren't trying to get into her pants. And as far as girlfriends went, she wasn't very good with girls as friends. She had a tendency of saying things how they were and not trying to sugar coat everything which made other girls think she was a bitch which she wasn't. She just didn't see the point in beating around the bush.
Some people would call her insensitive but she preferred to call herself direct. Which was how most guys acted so she fit in better with them. Being an only child and living on her own meant things got pretty boring and especially now that the big Victoria's Secret fashion show was over.
Everything had calmed down again and she wasn't being needed as much for photo shoots so her job was at a lull as well. Oh well, she would get over it. She just needed to spend some time with her friends. Whatever friends she had that was. And on the plus side, Chance Caine's party was this weekend and she would definitely be attending that.

Aaron doddled along the dirt path road that lead to the park. It was crowded today, with many couples still in the Valentine's day spirt. Love was nice, but he hated Valentine's day, thank goodness it already passed. It was really just a Hallmark day, to sell chocolate and roses.
The sun was on Aaron like a spot light as he placed his aviator glasses on the bridge of his nose. He felt sweaty, as it was very humid. On his hands were grease stains from fixing up cars, and he smelled them. They smelled faintly of gasoline, one of his favorite smells. It wasn't good for his systems, but he couldn't resist, there was something about the smell. Possibly a memory, though he doubted it.
He passed by the playground, seeing two little kids pushing each other on the swing. It was sweet, and made a smile grow on his face from ear to ear. Aaron was closer to girls than guys, but it wasn't always that way. He had plenty of guy friends growing up, but always had one or two close girl-friends. They were easier to talk to, mostly because he didn't have a crush on them, and they gave him advice on how to talk to girls.
Aaron came up to a bench, with a girl sitting on it. "Hello stranger!" he greeted with a chuckle. He slid dow next to her and grinned. Gemma was a close friend, a friend he considard as a sister. It was a day she got off from work, which wasn't often, so he made sure to see her.

At the sound of a familiar voice, Gemma turned her head to see one of her best friends, Aaron Kentz. She squealed excitedly before wrapping her arms around him and giving him a hug. When she pulled away a smile was still on her face.
"Aaron Kentz, I can't believe I finally get to see you. I was afraid that I would have to go back to work and not get to see you. How have you been?" she replied, scooting closer to him so they were sitting next to each other.
If a passerby would have walked past they probably would have thought that Gemma and Aaron were a couple because they were so at ease with each other but that was simply because he was like a brother to her and she didn't care what he thought of her. She knew he would never judge her and it was nice to just be able to be herself for once.

Aaron held go of the hug with a strong smile. She was the same; fame hadn’t changed her, yet. Or at least he hoped so; he had seen too many models change after they got famous. His grey eyes stared into her eyes, but no sparks, just friendship.
"Well, I’m good now; I was afraid the photographer or male model would follow you here!” he joked, with a big grin appearing on his face like the Cheshire Cat’s. ”And how have you been? Long hours, doing nothing but laying on the beach trying to look sexy?” he laughed at his own comment.
He never thought of Gemma as more than a friend, just a sister. They told each other everything and gave each other advice on how to get a girl/guy. He scooted closer to her, trying to knock her off the bench, in a friendly way. He pretended he did nothing, and looked at the blue jay nearby, what a fractious bird. He returned is attention to Gemma, since he didn't get to see her oten.

Gemma laughed as he commented on what she had to do as a living. Now that she thought about it her job really wasn't that hard but hey she did have to stay in shape and that could be hard sometimes.
"Yeah it's a real tough life." she answered teasingly as she shoved him back when he tried to push her off of the bench.
"So what's new with you? Any girls?" she asked, poking him and raising her eyebrows suggestively.

He felt like he was playing the game ‘jell-o’ as she shoved him. He let himself fall, his shoulder ending on the bench before sitting back up. He stared at the grease on his hands once more before shoving them in his jean pockets. He wore a grey shirt that matched his eyes and his favorite navy Vans.
He felt awkward when she asked about girls, but decided to reply. ”Uh, it’s complex,” he managed. It was the truth and everyone could tell when and if he was lying, so he had to tell the truth.

Gemma laughed softly when he fell over after she shoved him but righted himself and looked over at her before thinking over his answer to her question. His answer was rather disappointing and she was most likely going to make him explain.
"Oh come on, you can tell me. I won't tell anyone. Scouts honor." she replied, holding up the incorrect scouts sign with her hand. She of course wasn't in scouts but hey, they always said that so it had to have some pull with people.
Her greenish blue eyes looked over at him as she gave him time to think of his response. She would get him to tell her eventually, it was just a matter of time.

Aaron was confused, she was never a girl scout, and at least he didn’t believe so. It’s the three fingers, middle, index, and ring on your left hand,” he chuckled. He believed she would keep it a secret, and she could read him like a book. He had no poker face, only Gaga did.
Aaron took a long breath and exhaled. He decided she would only help, so he told her. ”So, this Fawn,” he began. ”I really like her, but she thinks we should be friends. I kissed her, as you might of seen on the Gossip Girl blog, but what GG didn’t know was that she slapped me after,” he paused, revising what he was going to say next. “And then I really wanted to have a fling with Roxi, because I think I might love her,” he blurted. He waited for Gemma to answer as he leaned back.

Gemma nodded slowly as she took in everything he said. She rubbed her chin like an old man would do if he was thinking hard. Finally she said up straight and had a smile on her face.
"So what's so complicated about it? If you're in love with Roxi then obviously she's the one you should go for. Just listen to you're heart. It's not that hard, you're just overthinking it." she replied as if the answer was as plan as day. Which it was to her because she wasn't the one in the situation but to him it was probably harder for him to get to it.

Aaron thought about it, but Roxi was a player, and would, or maybe just could cheat on him. But Gemma had good advice. He thought so more, pondering on her statement, and looked at her rubbing her chin.
”Roxi is so hard to read!” Aaron moaned. ”I mean, I love the mystery essence of it, but I feel like she would cheat on me. She recently told me she had a fling with someone, I don’t know who, but yeah.” he spat out. He saw what she meant, he loved her. He had to get her, but for now, Gemma.
”What else about you?” he asked, changing the subject.

Gemma nodded, she understood where he was coming from. She was known to be a player but technically she wasn't a cheating player, she was just a little slutty. She slept around and lots of people knew that.
"Yeah I get that but think about it, she's not cheating when she has flings because she IS single." she stated, smiling and shrugging as she pointed out that fact. When he turned the attention back to her she shrugged once more.
"There's not much to tell about me. No guys, work is at a lull right now and I haven't done much." she explained rather boredly. Ever since the Victoria's Secret fashion show had ended the intensity at work had definitely lowered and she had only had a couple photo shoots here and there. But other than that her life was pretty uneventful. She didn't have any guys in her life at the moment and even fewer friends.

Aaron shrugged, seeing her point. He remembered the days she was a slut, but he believed that was all sorted out, hopefully. ”You’re right,” he said with a little bit of hope in his voice. Thank goodness for Gemma, how else would he sort out his problems?
”No Sports Illustrated?” he joked, as he didn’t know much about modeling. ”What about little gigs?” he asked, she must have had some jobs. After all, she seemed to always be busy.
Aaron wondered why she didn’t have any guys, too busy he presumed. She was gorgeous, and any guy would want to have an intimate relationship with her. Aaron knew her too well, and it would be awkward if they were anything more than friends.

"I had the Victoria's Secret fashion show and that was a big deal but since then I have only had a couple of little photo shoots. I think I have one tomorrow but I'm not for sure yet." she replied, thinking over her schedule but not putting too much though into it.
Finally when she couldn't remember for sure she shrugged before turning her blue green gaze on him. When he mentioned Sports Illustrated she laughed softly.
"Not yet but that would definitely be a cool gig." she replied, gazing up at the sky as if the answer to her prayers would fall from the sky, which of course it didn't.

Boobs, bras, and panties; oh my!” he chuckled changing the Wizard of Oz line. ”I heard Katy Perry was there,” he added, as he briefly remember seeing an ad for it. Being a model sounded cool, but Aaron thought all male models were gay, which was very stereotypical of him.
”Tell me when you do!” Aaron smirked, just to see her reaction. He never read Sport Illustrated, but many of his manly friends did. He preferred to read Rolling Stone, and sometimes the comic section of the newspaper, which made him remember childhood memories.
He felt something lightly tap his head, as her placed his hand on his head to find a leaf. ”I thought fall was over,” her moaned. His favorite season was summer, and the rest could go die, well except for all the holidays, he enjoyed those.

Gemma laughed and rolled her eyes as he complained about the season once again. He usually did that unless it was summer. And even then he sometimes would complain about it being to hot out.
"Oh it's just a leaf. Man up!" she replied, grabbing the leaf off of his head and tossing it to the cement ground beneath them. Leaning her elbow on top of the bench they were sitting on she turned her body so she was facing him, a faint smile on her face as she watched him.
