Chloe Cassidy Taylor arrived at the beach. It was mid afternoon when she began strolling up to the beach trying to find that perfect spot to sit and soak up the sun. It was a high of 81 degrees outside today. The sun blazed without a single cloud in the sky. The sand stung her toes as she roamed around the beach. Her light brown eyes scanned around seeking a spot to settle at.
Chloe had been wearing a black shirt that she attacked with her scissors, a red bikini, a pair of denim short shorts that had some tears in them, and black gladitor sandals on her feet. Chloe wasn't wearing any make-up knowing it would get ruined later anyways. Chloe wore a slight smile on her face waving to a few strangers that were eyeballing her. On her light brown eyes were a pair of red sunglasses.
She had finally found the perfect spot to settle down at. It was about mid beach with quite a few people that were enjoying there day at the beach. Chloe was in the mood to play some volleyball. She approached the net. The people looked around their age and figured they wouldn't mind her playing. "Got room for one more killer volleyball player?" Chloe asked with a smirk on her face.

Cameron Fletcher had been busy spending the majority of the afternoon playing volleyball with a bunch of his buddies. He was dressed in a pair of dark plaid board shorts that came a little past his knees, no shoes and a pair of black aviator sunglasses over his eyes. It was his turn to serve the ball and he stepped back to the out of bounds line and prepared to serve. A female voice suddenly caught his attention and he turned around to face a beautiful dark haired girl in a bright red bikini. A smile instantly crossed his face and he pulled his sunglasses off and put them in the pocket of his trunks while his light blue eyes looked her up and down for a moment.
"Yeah of course, you can be on my team." he offered, gesturing for her to take the empty space next to him. The teams were smaller than normal volleyball teams were suppose to be but this game was just for fun so the size didn't matter.
Cameron tossed the ball up into the air and hit it with an overhand serve before taking the two steps it took to get back in bounds. His eyes were locked on the ball as the other team hit it back over the net. He dove for it and was able to save it and get it back over again. His eyes strayed from the ball to look at the new girl that had just joined them. A smile crossed his face but it quickly faded when the ball got spiked over the net and straight into his crotch.
He keeled over in pain and then fell backwards into the sand, holding his injured body part. All the guys winced in pain as they watched him lay in the sand, his eyes squeezed closed as he tried to recover from the hit.

She began to take off her shorts, sandals, and sunglasses. She tossed them to the side. Chloe wore a smirk on her face as her legs shuffled over to him. "Excuse me what's your name?" Chloe asked. He looked fimilar being up close. But, wasn't sure what his name was. Her light brown eyes studied him before focusing on the game. She spiked it and bumped it to the other team. Chloe use to play volleyball when she was in highschool. So, she was pretty good. She never planned on playing professional. It was only for fun.
Chloe noticed the game had stopped. Her light brown eyes looked over at Cameron. Her face was in ahh. Chloe knealed down to his side. "Are you okay? Do you need any ice?" Chloe asked with a soft toned voive with a sweet smile. She was always caring about others before herself. She had heard that, that was a tender spot to get hit. Chloe would never know until because she was a female. Her light blue eyes looked into his as she waited for a response from him.

When the dark haired girl asked him what his name was he smiled and turned to face her.
"I'm Cameron Fletcher. And you are?" he asked, trailing off so she could fill in the gap with her own name. As the game proceeded, his team was winning so far when he got hit with the ball. Right where the sun don't shine. He groaned in pain as he lay on his back in the sand, holding his crotch. Carefully he opened his light blue eyes to see the beautiful new girl leaning over him with worry on her face. He didn't want to seem weak in front of her so he slowly nodded, signaling that he was okay.
When he was finally able to stand up, the pain had ebbed away for the most part and he took a few deep breaths before shaking it off.
"I'm fine. Thanks." he replied to the girl and his buddies though his friends hadn't seemed to worried about him.

Chloe watched him as he got up. "No problem." She said with a soft smile shrugging a bit. She remembered his name. Cameron Fletcher. Her family hated him and his family. She never knew why but, they sure did. Of course she was going to stay. Chloe was just having some fun playing some volleyball. Her light brown eyes looked into his, "Chloe Taylor." She said with a grin. Hopefully, he didn't know that their parents had hated each oth. Chloe couldn't help but to were a grin on her face. Their was already chemistry going on. If you couldn't tell then you were dumb. Chloe hit the ball over the net a couple of times and finished it off with a spike scoring a point. She passed around some high fives to her team mates. Chloe bent over on her knees for a second resting then stood up. She began to get a bit hot. Chloe tied her hair up into a bun and took off her black off the shoulder top reveling her bare body. Chloe glanced over at Cameron wearing a huge smirk on her face.

When he had fully recovered she spoke her name and his stomach fell a little. She had to be the Chloe Taylor who was the daughter of the infamous Taylor family that his parents hated. He hadn't heard the whole story but he knew that his father and the her father had been in business together with another man named Jack Robertson. And what he had been told had happened was that Jack had taken all of the money from the company's bank account and disappeared off the face of the planet.
Of course, neither his father nor her father would blame the man that was no longer there so they had taken it out on each other and split the business in half so they didn't have to work with each other anymore. Their fathers always blamed the other for what happened to their business and of course the families ended up hating each other all together. And even though they still lived close to each other, Cameron knew his father would be pissed if he found out that him and Chloe were hitting it off and hanging out.
Cameron raised his light blue gaze to look at her, unsure if she knew about why their families hated each other. He almost thought about talking to her about it but changed his mind, not wanting to ruin the wonderful day. Rubbing his neck he turned his attention back to the game though it seemed to have ended. Everyone started to disperse while most of them headed off to the Beachside Refreshments to get something to drink.

Chloe walked towards Cameron. Her light brown eyes looked up at him with a soft smile on her face. "Not bad for someone who got blasted with a volleyball." Chloe said teasingly. She took note that he knew exactly who she was because he hadn't responded to her. Chloe sighed quietly under her lips. Her eyes wandered around. Chloe began to slip back on her clothes. She took down her messy bun and combed her curly/wavy hair with her fingers. "You do know that my dad hates your dad, right? He would kill me if he knew I was even speaking to you." Chloe said shrugging. Her smile had faded. Chloe hated the fact that their parents hated each other because Cameron was begining to grow on him. Chloe looked at the ground then back up at him. Chloe thought he was very good looking and he seemed nice. She wouldn't have known because she had just met him. It was very odd to run into him like this. What were the odds of meeting the one guy who his parents automatically hated that Chloe was blooming a few feelings for?

Cameron smiled and laughed softly though his smile fell when she spoke her next words. So she knew that their parents hated each other. . . He sighed before strolling down the beach, putting his hands in the pockets of his swimming trunks as he headed towards the lounge chair he had put all of his stuff on nearby. He wasn't sure what to do about this whole situation. Chloe seemed really nice and she was pretty and he could see himself growing to like her a lot but he had to be loyal to his family too. . .
"Yeah I know. Same here. A day doesn't go by without my dad complaining and saying 'if that no good Mr. Taylor hadn't stolen all of our money. . .'" he replied, mocking his father's voice by speaking the last part of his phrase in a deep and manly voice, furrowing his eyebrows and frowning as he made angry gestures with his hands.
When they reached his lounge chair he sat down towards the top of it with his feet in the sand, leaving space for her to sit down as well. Maybe he was worrying to much. . . He had just met Chloe today and it wasn't like they were dating or anything. He was just being friendly, his father couldn't get mad at him for being friendly to some girl he had just met. . . could he?

Chloe followed Cameron to his spot where he had been sitting. Chloe sat on the edge carefully so it wouldn't tip over. She began to laugh when he mocked his father. "It's my life and I will hang out with whoever I want to." Chloe said with a grin spread across her face. Her light brown eyes looked up at him. "I love my family but, they really shouldn't drag me into their silly battles. Their wasting their lives away." Chloe spoke once more. She knew she wasn't even suppose to talk to Cameron but, Chloe didn't care. It was her life and she got to make her own desicions. Chloe looked out to the ocean. She felt like if she was just talking to him her parents would flip. She just met him and for right now they were on a friend type of level. Chloe sighed a bit she put back on her shades so Cameron wouldn't know Chloe was looking at him.

Cameron sighed loudly as he realized what a hard place he was in. His father expected him to follow in his footsteps and take over the business when he retired but Cam wasn't sure if that was what he wanted to do with his life. Though he still wasn't sure what other options he had, he knew that there had to be something better out there than following in his father's footsteps and becoming a boring old business executive that cheats on his wife with his secretary. How cliche was that.
"I guess so. . ." he replied, not sure what else to say. It was hard for him to decide what would be worse, not seeing her or getting yelled at by his dad. He figured they would both be pretty bad but he wanted to see her again and hoped that the whole feud between the two families would be so strong to keep them from being friends.

Chloe listened to him as he spoke. He seemed upset over something. Chloe looked out to the ocean. She was about to speak but fell out of the lawn chair. Chloe began to crack up. She couldn't stop. She was laughing hysterically. She thought of how much of an idiot she was for falling out of the chair and then laughing like a mad women over it. Chloe's shades fell off her face. Chloe laid in the warm sand still laughing. She began to cry from laughing so hard. Chloe sat up. "Did I really just fall off a lawn chair?" Chloe said while grinning widely as she shook her head. I guess she was to careful when she sat down that she wasn't on the seat. "First you get blasted with a volleyball then I fall off a lawn chair..." Chloe said while shaking her head still giggling a bit. Chloe ruffled her hair at the top. That smirk was plastered on her face alright.

When she looked like she was about to speak he sat up a bit straighter but she suddenly fell to the sand by sliding off of the end of the lounge chair. A look of worry crossed his face as he wasn't sure if she was hurt or not but when she started to laugh he relaxed and smiled before laughing a little bit at how hard she was laughing. When she finally sat up again he offered his hand to help her up out of the sand.
"I know, we're a mess!" he commented with a broad grin on his face as he helped her out of the sand and back onto the chair. He scooted over some more so she had more room to sit and wouldn't have a repeat of the previous accident.

Chloe began to whip the sand off her. But, she didn't sit back down. A smile was still on her face. Her light brown eyes looked at him and then picked up her sunglasses. "Let's go on a stroll. I hate being in the same spot for so long." Chloe suggested with a slight smile on her face. She clipped her sunglasses on her shirt. Although, their parents hated each other Chloe still wanted to spend the rest of the day with Cameron. He seemed nice and she wanted to get to know him a little bit brother. Chloe decided to avoid talking about their parents again. It quickly got akward for them. Chloe removed a strand out of hair out of her face. Chloe smiled at him hoping he would walk with her and maybe go into the salty ocean.

When she suggested going for a stroll he smiled and rose to his feet before grabbing his aviators out of his pocket and tossing them onto his lounge chair so he didn't have to bring them with him. He headed down the beach with her by his side. A smile lit his face as he glanced down at his feet as he continued to walk, the ocean waves rushing up onto the shore and washing over his feet before receeding back into the ocean.
"So Chloe, where's your boyfriend? Surely a girl as pretty as you couldn't be single." he replied, trying to be smooth about it but somewhat failing. He shook his head at his mess up but didn't try to fix it, hoping she wouldn't notice. He continued to look at the sand as he waited for her answer.

Chloe looked at him with a smile as he rose to his feet to take a walk with her. She put her thumbs in her pockets as she walked at a slowish pace. She was in no hurry to go anywhere. Chloe's brown eyes was locked on his. When he spoke a smile spreaded across her face. Her cheeks turned to a pinkish color. Her eyes looked down and then up at him. "Aw, thanks. But, I don't have a boyfriend." Chloe paused for a second and looked at the ground thinking of her last relationship that ended so badly. "What about you Cameron. Do you gave a girlfriend?" Chloe asked with a slight smile on her face. She was hoping he didn't. But, she quickly got her mind off that thought. Her dad would literally kill her. She wasn't even suppose to talk to him let alone date him. Although, he was a perfect match for her. Why did life have to be so un fair when it came to guys?
