Claire walked to the door. She took Chance in her arms and hugged him back. He blue eyes looked up at him with a soft smile on her face. "Why are you sorry? It was both are faults. You can't blame all this on you Chance." Claire spoke softly. A slight sigh escaped from her lips as she began to think about everything that was happening to her. Everything was just going down hill and there was nothing she could do about it. Claire waited for Chance to respond before leaving to go back to her condo and go to sleep.

Chance knew that it did take two people to have sex and he wasn't the only one that had been in on this whole thing but he knew he would feel guilty about it because he was the guy and he should have stopped things instead of pushing her. Now they had almost been parents which would have majorly altered their lives.
"I know but I'm going to." he replied softly, looking down at the floor in between them before letting his light blue gaze flicker up to catch her eye and then look away once more. |

Claire sighed a bit as she looked at the door then back at Chance's eyes. She couldn't believe he was trying to blame this all on him. She pursed her lips together. She wasn't sure what to do or say at this point. "I'm not going to let you." Claire spoke softly as she shook her head no. She gave Chance a soft peck on his cheek. "I should go now. Sorry, for scaring you like that and completly falling apart on you. Have a wonderful night." Claire said with a half smile. She opened the door but wanted to wait for a response before leaving.

Chance forced a smile as she said that she was going to head home now. He didn't know what else to say to her. He had probably messed up her life enough and maybe she would be better off by never seeing him again. After all, he didn't want to hurt her anymore.
"Yeah. . . okay. . ." he replied softly as his light blue gaze went to the floor once more as she headed towards the door. |
