After his long jog home, Dallas took a hot, satisfying shower. He was actually really excited about to night, he wanted to see Bella again. After feeding Bailey and giving the pup some water, he decided it was about time to be getting dressed. He wanted to get down to the dock just a bit early, because the smell of the ocean and the warm breeze would ease his nerves. He threw on a pair of dark wash jeans, his favorite pair actually, and a gray button down shirt. He felt that the outfit wasn't quite complete, so he slid on a black vest to pull the look together. Shutting off the lights of his studio apartment, he waved goodbye to Bailey and bounded out the door. He drove up to the dock in his dark blue Saab 900s, with the top down of course. It was too nice of a night to NOT have the top down, and the breeze flowing freely through his hair. Stepping onto the dock, he leaned casually against a railing. He looked out into the beautiful, though slightly terrifying waves, and tried to relax. Taking a deep breath, he realized he wasn't actually nervous anymore. The feeling had been replaced by a much more enjoyable sense of excitement, as he looked forward to seeing Bella again.

Bella was scurrying around on the deck of the boat. It was her uncles restaurant boat and he was gracious enough to let her have it for the night and have some staff onboard to make the food. It was around 7:55 and Bella leaned over the edge of the boat. "Dallas!" She called as she beckoned him to come up.
Wearing a floral dress with a purple three quarter inch cardigan ontop she felt very care free with the warm breeze mother nature was providing. "Hey, right this way..." As she walked with him to this small table that was already set with plates. The waiter came and asked for their drinks. "Coke please, what would you like?" She asked Dallas as she brushed her bangs out of her face.

Dallas smiled, taking in how pretty and carefree Isabella looked on this warm summer night, with her chocolate locks billowing in the warm summers breeze. He grinned towards her when she asked what he'd like to drink. "I'll take a sprite, please." He said to the waiter, without taking his eyes off Bella. "And might I just say you're looking lovely this evening." He said, giving her a small, joking bow.
He looked around, and noticed the emptiness of the boat. There was only one table set for two people, but it looked to be a massive restaurant boat. "Where is everyone else tonight?" He asked curiously, playing with his hands a little nervously.

"Thank you, you are very dressed up yourself." She smiled as their drinks arrived at the table. When he asked where everyone else was she didnt really know how to respond. "They were my apetizer, just kidding... I thought it would be nice for us to just talk." She smiled as she leaned in to take a sip from her drink. The waiter came back and asked to take their orders.
"In relation to this boat, I'll have fish and chips." As she ordered and handed the waiter her menu before taking her napkin and placing it on her lap. "So, other than our similar love for coffee, dogs, running and literature, tell me about your family. Im highly interested in things of that sort." Leaning in more to make sure she wouldnt miss anything.

Dallas looked up at the waiter and ordered without evening glancing at the menu. "Shrimp please, with plenty of cocktail sauce." He said with a smile, Dallas love shrimp for some reason, even if they were a bit odd looking.
"As for the family, they live in Las Vegas. That's where I grew up, you know. My dad's name is Mika, and he owns the De' Luca Casino in downtown Las Vegas. My mom's name is Bliss Marianne...She's kind of a humanitarian. She's always making my dad donate tons of money to charity. I really love Las Vegas, maybe I can take you there sometime. I'd love to go back and visit, but I won't ever live there again." Dallas said with only the slightest hint of sadness in his voice. It wasn't that he didn't want to live there, he just...couldn't.

"Vegas eh? A little poker sometime, you and me..." She smiled as the food arrived and Isabella began to pick apart the fish as she dipped her frenchfries in her ketchup. Surely she couldve ordered fancy caviar and fillet mignon but she wasnt like that in real life and being fake was not usually how she wanted to build a relationship off of.
"Do you want some?" She asked as she held her plate of food out to him. "Im all for humanitarians, I definitely want to meet your mother sometime, Im sure we'll have a lot to connect on." She laughed as she wiped her greasy fingers off with her napkin before taking back her plate.

Dallas smiled at her playful challenge, and responded with a mischievous tone. "I don't think I'm the person you want to challenge to a poker match, of any sort. But I'd be more than happy to show you how it's done." Dallas laughed. He'd had a bit of a gambling problem back home, which was why he'd left in the first place. Can you blame him, really? His dad DID own a casino, and he'd had unlimited access to it his entire life. He'd left, and only just begun to teach himself art of self control in gambling, and knowing when to stop.
Dallas looked over Bella, he loved how she wasn't uptight like most girls. Others would have ordered a salad, or the tiniest order on the menu, or something ritzy that Dallas couldn't even pronounce. But not her, not Isabella. "I think my mom would adore you, actually. I'd love for you to meet her sometime...even though she is a little ecstatic." Dallas smiled, and knew he was being completely honest. He hadn't introduced anyone to his mother, not one girl. But for some reason, he knew this girl was the right one to change how he'd done things in the past.

"I'll take your word on poker and I'll retreat back to playing online solitaire when bored." She smiled as she inserted a French fry into her mouth, the salty taste lingering on her tongue even when she was finished swapping it completely. He seemed a bit defensive about the entire poker thing. But that was his personal life and she didn't want to pry nor intrude into anything like that; especially upon first serious date. The boat gently swayed as the rope held it to the dock along with the anchor
"I'm great with ecstatic." She teased as she chewed on the cod fish before using her napkin to wipe some of the grease that felt as if it was forming a slight ring around her mouth. Ew. At least grease was clear; always looking to the positive. "Is your food good?" She asked him as she sipped through her straw.

ooc: I am SO SO sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you, I should have posted my absence on the site, but I was so busy because today was my last day of finals at college! 2 years down, 2 more to go!
BIC: Dallas smiled at Isabella, while the warm breeze wafted over the water and carried with it a salty, but refreshing scent. Dallas for one didn't notice any imperfections on Isabella, she was just as gorgeous as over. Maybe even a little more beautiful due to the sun reflecting off her lovely brown locks, and causing a playful twinkle in her beautiful eyes.
"Everything is delicious." Dallas said, popping another cocktail sauce-slathered piece of shrimp into his mouth, before playfully leaning over and plucking a fry from Bella's plate and chowing down. "Best fry I have EVER taste." Dallas smiled, he was truly enjoying every single second that he spent with this girl.
"By the way, I keep forgetting to ask you! Have you ever read any Chuck Palahniuk books? He's the author of Fight Club, Choke, Survivor, and Invisible Monsters among other books, and he's my favorite author ever." Dallas said, he was looking to invite her to a book signing that his hero was having only an hour or so away.

"Can't argue with the fries, this boat is known for their fries and their lovely steak." She smiled as she then furrowed her eyebrows when he mentioned a certain author. "No, Ive never heard of that author, but I am always willing to know more." She smiled as she finished her plate.
"Got any books that I can borrow so I can begin reading?" She asked him as she finished off her drink as well, sneaking a hand across the table to steal a piece of shrimp as she popped it into her mouth, the sauce dribbling down her mouth. "Mm... that is amazing!" She smiled as she used her hand to wipe the sauce and then realized it was highly unlady- like and then used to her napkin to wipe the remnants off of her face and her hand.
