Danielle these days did not have to be looking fabulous while running around after her daughter all the time. What was much harder was the fact that she was having a hard time balancing work and her personal time with her daughter. Danielle constantly felt that she was always being pulled in multiple directions and she was about to snap like an overly stretched hair elastic. She constantly ran into rough spots being a single mother but sometimes she didnt mind it; it was sometimes fun just two girls learning and making mistakes in the universe.
Opening the driver door, Danielle walked around to the right side of the car door in the back to open the door to find her daughter strapped in her car seat tightly. Danielle pushed the red square button that released the straps and picked up her daughter and held her in her left arm as she shut the car door and walked around back to the trunk. Opening the door to her Range Rover she set Everleigh down on the floor of the trunk as she reached for the diaper bag as she dug through all its contents. "Come here sweetie." Danielle cooed as she squeezed a drop of sunblock on her hands as she put some more sunblock on Everleigh's face; already applying some on her body at the house. Everleigh fidgeted and was opening her mouth as if to taste the Banana Boat sunscreen. Danielle laughed before applying this cute white little sun hat on her daughters head.
Once she had taken care of her daughter, she slung the polka-dotted diaper bag over her shoulder as she picked up her daughter and then closed the trunk door. Walking over to the grassy area on the park. She set Everleigh down as she unzipped the diaper bag and pulled out a blanket, watching Everleigh crawl on the blanket happily as Danielle set out some Gerber Graduates in a bowl as she joined her daughter on the blanket, placing her sunglasses over her eyes. It was nice to be out in the fresh air, enjoying some quality bonding time with her own child.
Reaching for the dissolvable snacks, Danielle watched as Everleigh carefully put the snacks in her mouth, being careful not to spill any. Her face was just so concentrated that Danielle had to laugh at her daughter. She looked just like her father in many ways with the same hair and eyes. Eyes that were so blue they looked transparents and hair that under normal light was this dirty blonde color but under direct sunlight was this gorgeous honey glow color. Her daughter really was all she thought about, she wanted what was best for her.
It had been awhile since she had made public appearances in L.A. She really wasnt much for that type of stuff especially when she was either cooped up in her office or making silly faces with her daughter in her nursery. Everleigh began to get bored and began to stand up and wobble off, Danielle laughing as she chased after her daughter, taking her hands and walking with her, just incase of a fall. Then she scooped Everleigh up as she led her to the baby swings. All the other mothers were busy chatting away to their husbands while their children ran a muck and although Danielle was single, even with a man she would never leave her child unattended.
Seating her child in the swing, she gently began to push as at first Everleigh's expression was very scared but then softened up as she gradually became used to the motion. Danielle smiled at her daughter as she raised her sunglasses from her eyes and let them sit atop her head so she could get this full vision of beauty and snap a mental picture of this. She began to make silly faces and funny noises each daughter Everleigh came swinging toward her. Then, she watched her daughter began to smile and laugh as she clapped her hands; liking the attention she was getting from her mother. Danielle stopped the swing as it came towards her as she bent down to Everleigh's height. "Remember this, people are going to tell you that you cant do stuff but... look at me. People said that mommy would never get her degree nor be able to settle down because my schedule is demanding. But guess what Everleigh? They were wrong." As she kissed Everleigh on her nose as she resumed pushing her on the swing.

Chance hadn't planned much for that day. He was going to had a small get together of close friends over not too long ago and they had gone through a fair amount of Chance's alcohol store so he was heading down to the liquor store to replenish it as well as stop by the grocery store and get some things to eat for dinner that night since he would probably be dining alone with Alex in Texas with Logan for her mom's funeral. Chance wouldn't have gone with her but he had to do a press conference for his new movie he would be filming soon so he hadn't been able to get out of it.
Chance was just putting the rest of his groceries into his car across the street from the park when he heard a woman's voice that sounded familiar. His light blue eyes searched the people across the street at the park and finally caught sight of Danielle Rabe pushing a young girl in a swing. A smile lit his face as he recongnized her and he shut his trunk before locking the car and then headed across the street towards her.
His thoughts at first went to who the child belonged to cause he hadn't seen her recently but she couldn't have gotten with someone so quickly after her and him had been together to get pregnant and have a kid so she had to be babysitting for someone. Maybe she had gotten a job as a nanny. She was always good with kids and animals.
When Chance made it across the street he put his hands in his pockets before approaching her and the little girl that was being pushed in the swing. A smile was on his face as he saw her making funny faces to the little girl and making her laugh. Chance hadn't been around little kids much but he could handle them for the most part. Though he wasn't sure if he personally wanted any of his own, at least not yet but he didn't need to worry about that right now.
"Could it be? Danielle Rabe, it's been much too long." he greeted her, putting his hands out, palms up as he smiled at her, his light blue eyes looking her up and down as he checked her out. She looked really good still and he couldn't help but smile a little broader.

Danielle blew what was known as 'raspberries' to Everleigh as she heard someone from behind her speak. As the swing came towards her, she grabbed tje two chains with each hand as she stopped the swing carefully. Turning around, wiping her grubby hands on her torn jeans she saw Chance Caine, an old friend and a long time boyfriend. He seemed just as shocked as she was that they were ending up in the same place at this odd and uncomfortable time. After she wiped her hands, she walked up to him and hugged him. He still wore the same cologne as she remembered, Armani Exchange. "It has been awhile. My accent is still just as strong too." She laughed, he had told her when they were together that her British accent turned him onto her and she had laughed just thinking he was trying to make conversation; during the beginning stages of their relationship.
Everleigh fidgeted in the swing and Danielle picked her up as she held her in one arm, facing Chance. "Chance this is Everleigh, Everleigh; Chance." She introduced as she kissed Everleigh on her forehead. "Can you say hello?" She asked as Everleigh raised her hand and opened and closed her fingers, making it an odd-some wave. Danielle laughed and looked at Chance, using her free hand to move her hair over her shoulder slowly. "We're working on it." As she lifted Everleigh up in a type of toss so she could re-grip onto her daughter. "So how have you been?" She asked, adjusting Everleigh's hat.

Chance smiled when she recognized him right away and was glad because then he wouldn't come off as some sort of creeper. He hugged her back, remembering the familiar feeling of holding her again. When Danielle brought over the little girl she had with her and told her to wave, Chance smiled before waving back and then turning his light blue eyes back on Danielle.
"I've just been working, that usually keeps me pretty busy. How about you?" he asked her, putting his hands in the pockets of his light colored jeans.

"Same as you, work and mothering. I'm having a difficult time balancing the two..." She laughed as she looked from Chance to Everleigh, she looked just like him it was insane to Danielle that this child was his and he didn't even know it. Crazy was the entire situation but she knew it was what was best for the both of them, in her opinion.
"I want to give my daughter everything she shall ever need but I can't do that unless I work. It really is a teetering subject I cannot seem to choose a side." She smiled at Chance, knowing that he looked like a completely different man in her eyes. "You've been whipped." Her British accent strongly rolling off of her tongue. "And you have 'the glow', unless... It's me? Just kidding." Making funny comments here and there.
"Well you seem really busy so I guess we shall part." As she waved goodbye and looked at her child. "Can you say bye bye?" Everleigh mimicking the words. "It was definitely nice to see you." As she leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Hopefully we shall meet up again."

When she revealed that Everleigh was her child and not a kid that she was babysitting he had to admit he was surprised but he let the surprise only flicker across his face, barely readable. When she explained the challenge of mothering and working he guessed that she was a single mother and he wondered what happened to the guy. Of course, babies did have a way of chasing most guys off.
"Yeah I definitely hope to see you again." he replied, saying bye to the two ladies before turning to head back to his car. Just as he was a couple of steps away he stopped and turned back around, his hands in his pockets once more as his light blue eyes looked at her, a small smile on his face.
"Hey. What do you say you come over to my place for dinner tomorrow night?" he invited her, hoping she would be able to come. It would be nice to be able to catch up with her and figure out how she had been since they had seperated.

Danielle waved goodbye and set Everleigh down as she held her two hands as she walked behind her as they began heading back to the car. Last minute as she guided her daughter along the long blades of grass Chance called to her; inviting her over for dinner. "Dinner for three?" She asked as she looked down at Everleigh and pursed her lips. "It's hard for me to find a decent babysitter these days." She said with a small smile, "Usually she comes with me everywhere." Danielle let Everleigh roam around on her own for awhile while she chatted with Chance.
"I mean, you can always come over for macaroni and cheese?" She asked as she jerked her thumb to the child. "And she makes a mean bowl of cheerios." Laughing remembering when her daughter had spilled cheerios all over the counter top. That really was a sight to see. "So if you're not busy then we can most definitely catch up as long as Missy here is able to tag along. She's really well behaved, I promise." She said crossing her fingers.

Chance grinned as his light blue eyes glanced down at the young girl in Danielle's arms.
"Dinner for three it is then." he replied with a smile as he put his hands in his pockets and started heading back across the street once more.
"Come over around six." he said, making sure to have it be a bit earlier then he normally would have because if the little one was coming then they would want to make sure and eat before she had to go to bed.
When he had finished speaking to her he waved goodbye to both of them before strolling over to his car and putting his black aviators on over his eyes. Climbing in, he revved the engine before pulling away from the curb and speeding off towards home.
