Kat walked slighty ahead of Skye, as she ambled through the heated sand. The dry sand slowly became damp as she reached the ocean. The waves playfully splashed on her legs, which felt oh-so-refreshing. Kat turned her head a 45 degree angle to see Skye following behind. Kat stepped out of the mushy sand and set her shoes close enough to her so she could grab them, but far enough so they didn't get wet.
Kat returned to the water and slowly stepped in farther until the aqua water was to her waist. Feeling brave Kat drove into the incoming wave, like a dolphin, and quickly popped her head up to take a quick breath. She combed her fingers through her hair and wiped her eyes. Luckly she decided to wear water-proof macara, otherwise she could've been mistaken for a racoon.
Kat called to Skye, telling her to hurry it up, wuss. Kat played along the water, feeling silky kelp wrap around her legs. She seceded away from the kelp and dove into the water once more, waiting for Skye.

Skye walked a bit faster. Her toes squished and burned into the boiling sand. Skye scurried to the water. Dropping her worn out Old Navy flip flops behinde her. An impression was left on the soggy sand but, quickly disappeared. She let out a small sigh. Skye wore a smile as she went into the water.
Skye slowly walked into the water until it began to get deeper. She dove under water swimming quite a bit. She finally caught up to Kat, "Someone was a bit eggered to get in the water, ey?" Skye teased with a playful grin.

Kat let out a chuckle as her brown eyes focused on Skye. "It's too hot to just take a snooze on the beach, I would burn!" she exclaimed adding a bit of dramatic tone into it. Kat splashed her friend's face, praying the salt wouldn't burn Skye's eyes. A strong ocean breeze caused Kat to shiver, as she ducked down again.
Kat just remembered that she promised to be home no later than 3:45 and turned to Skye. "Skye," Kat began, "I'm so sorry, but I have to leave!" she whispered. Kat slowly started toward land, catching a wave as a lift. She turned and waved to Skye as she tried to run on the beach, picking up her bag and her shoes. "ADIOS MUCHACHA!" she yelled as she faced the dozens of colorful umbrellas in front of her.

Skye got out of the water as well. "Alright, bye. I'll see you later." She said with a smiled. "Oh, i'll text you later or something." She laid on a towel. She began to put on some sun oil. Then, she laid out in the blazing hot sun. The sun rays hit her almost immediately. Skye then got out her ipod touch. She turned it on and began to listen to Paramore. She hummed along as the song played. Skye loved soaking up the sun. To her it was pretty relaxing.
It was much better then being home. But, she did have to leave soon to work on her songs. She needed to practice her music. It had been atleast 4 days since she touched her gutiar or piano. She missed it. Skye really wanted to do a duet with someone. But, she didn't know anybody who would be willing to do it with her. Hopefully, she'd meet someone new to help her with it. Skye is very passionate of the music she makes. She is 110% devoted to it. But, as for right now she wanted to work on her tan a bit.

Chance picked up his sunglasses and put them back on his face before flashing a wide grin at her. He raised his eyebrows as she continued to talk, asking him why he didn't have a date. After she finished he let another innocent look cross his face and he leaned back as if he was shocked she would say something like that.
"I don't know how I don't have a date yet, it is rather bizarre really but hey, what can a guy do." he replied giving a shrug as if he didn't understand the situation either. Even though he did know why he didn't have a date. Usually the female and male leads would attend the premiere together but this female lead had a boyfriend that she was planning on going with so Chance had been cool about it and said he would find another date.
"You're damn right we got a lot to catch up on! The last time I saw you, we still thought boys and girls had cooties and now. . ." he cut short, pulling his sunglasses down as he let his light blue eyes look her up and down before pulling his sunglasses back up.
"Damn. Things have definitely changed." he replied raising his eyebrows playfully before grinning broadly once more.

Amina stood up quickly and sat herself down at the end of his beach chair. She had just begun to feel the heat of the sun on her back and didn't want to get burned. She studied him for a moment and raised her eyebrows. She had known him too long to fall for his I'm-so-innocent act. She listened to him go on about how he didn't know how it was possible and couldn't help but grin a little. "Gee, I don't know either!" She said imitating his shocked voice.
If he wasn't going with the lead, she had at least expected him to find someone else to go with, well besides her. Someone who was actually famous like him instead of just any other normal LA citizen. "Well, I'm honored to go to the premier as your date," she told him sounding more confident than she felt. She didn't know the first thing about how to act or what to say.
She smirked and nodded. "Tell me about it." She pushed him a little as she watched him look her over. "Your such a flirt, Chance. I'm not the only one who's changed, I'm surprised your still single," she told him with a small laugh.

Chance grinned as she said she would be honored to be his date and he was glad because the premiere was next weekend and he hadn't even thought about who to bring it yet. The only problem was that if he brought anyone besides the lead then the press would automatically assume that he was dating the girl he brought but hey he was okay with that.
"Yeah I know, relationships are hard work, especially when you're an A list celebrity like me so I save myself for the truly special ladies." he replied, raising his eyebrows playfully before leaning in closer to her as she moved to sit at the end of his beach chair.
Pulling his sunglasses off his light blue eyes gazed into hers and a playful yet sly grin was on his face as he watched her. Something was on his mind and he was beginning to create plans for that evening that would make things even more fun.
"So Miss. Harris, what's say you and I have a lovely dinner over at my place tonight, any kind of take out you want, followed by some catching up, a movie and perhaps some kissing here or there." he suggested, smiling broadly as he finished describing a wonderful evening aloud.
He wasn't going to lie and say that he was not attracted to her at all because that wouldn't be right. He was most definitely attracted to her. Ever since they were little and she had chased him around the backyard trying to kiss him. But the difference between back then and now was that back then he didn't have the charm and the smooth moves he had now. Plus the two of them had a lot in common and that had definitely helped them bond over the years.

Already Amina's mind was at the premiere. She was trying to picture herself actually there, arm in arm with Chance. She bit her lip and ran a hand through her hair. This was going to be quite an experience, definitely one to remember. after a few minutes of this she tried to bring herself back to the present so that she could focus on what he was saying to her.
"Okay, considering I have never been in a relationship, I can't agree with you on the hard work thing. But I'm guessing this makes me a special lady, huh?" She batted her eyelashes and flipped her hair jokingly. She leaned a bit closer to him until she was just inches away from his face and then pulled back. She then raised an eyebrow as she stared into his eyes and grinned.
Amina tapped her chin and thought about his suggestion. "The dinner, catching up and movie sound good but I'll have to think about that last part. Though I have to admit, it's tempting." She tilted her head to the side and bit her lip playfully.
There was no doubt in her mind that she wouldn't take him up on his offer but she felt like delaying her answer a bit. But she wasn't lying about it being tempting, she would never pass up an offer like that. Amina didn't know how she had spent so many years with him, not once considering him as having potential beyond being her friend.

When she moved closer to him for a moment he got his hopes up thinking she was going to kiss him and when she moved away he leaned back a bit as well, deciding to play a little hard to get since she obviously had the upper hand. But hell the girl always had the upper hand over the guy because the girls can think with their heads while the guys just think with their dicks.
"It most definitely does." he answered her first question, giving her a playful wink as he put his hands behind him and leaned back in his beach chair.
"And I guess that's fair. . " he replied, commenting on her answer to his last question. Though he had a feeling that she would be kissing him at some point that night. He knew her too well to think she would be able to resist him. Though he put on a sad look as if he were a puppy who had just been kicked.
A grin soon took the place of his sad look and he put his sunglasses back on before wrapping his towel around his shoulders. Standing up, he offered her his hand to help her up off the beach chair as well.
"So I say we head out now cause the sun is already going down and I am starving." he added, grabbing his surfboard from the sand and tucking it under one arm while standing in front of her and waiting for her to come with him.

She knew him well enough to know that she had disappointed him when she pulled away. That was the good thing about having been friends for so long, they knew all each others tricks. Despite what some girls thought, guys were easy to figure out, Chance being even easier than most.
She gave a small nod and crossed her arms. "Good, I better be!" she told him with a small laugh. But she wondered if she really was or if he was just saying that. He definitely had a way of making her feel uneasy that was for sure. Her usual confidence leaving her more and more the longer she talked to him.
"More than fair considering your only getting me takeout," she said sticking her tongue out at him. Both of them knew that there would end up being some kissing that night and she didn't care. She watched as he put on a puppy dog face and kissed his cheek. "But that's all your getting... for now at least." She took his hand and stood up with a smile.
"That sounds good to me. I'm hungry too." She turned and began walking backwards, waiting for him. "Are you coming or what?"

Chance smiled as she kissed him on the cheek and then started heading off towards the parking lot where his car was parked. He was getting excited for what the night would bring. Though he knew he wouldn't be pulling his usual moves on her like he normally would with a girl he was bringing home because she certainly was special. He knew that he felt something different for her than he did the other girls but he wasn't quite sure what it was yet but he planned to find out tonight.
As he followed her to his truck he put his surfboard in the bed of the big black Ford truck before climbing into the drivers side. When she was in as well he pulled out of the beach parking lot and drove down the road to his house. His house wasn't that far from hers but it was off by itself because they owned the land around the house as well making it sort of private. It did have it's own private beach cove right off the back porch.
His father was out of town of course as usual on business so Chance was home alone since his mother had died of cancer when he was seven. As he pulled into the driveway he opened her door for her and then headed towards the front door of the large beach house before unlocking it and letting her inside before shutting the door. ooc: Hey Amina, you can make a new thread for them in the neighborhood board at the bottom under Chance's mansion sub board and we can continue there.
