The moon was only a small sliver tonight but the stars were brighter than usual. Their reflection shone off the surface of the ocean as the waves lapped at the shore in rhythmn. A large barrier of huge boulders were all stacked together and jutted out into the ocean a little ways. Sitting on top of one of the boulders was Chance Caine. His light blue eyes were staring out at the ocean and the waves, just enjoying the peace and quiet. Standing up on top of the boulder he turned his head to gaze out at the beautiful evening scene, just taking it all in.
A soft and warm summer breeze blew past him and he put his hands into the pockets of his worn jeans. A plain white t-shirt was covered by his favorite leather jacket. It was a gift from his father one year. It was one of the few things his father had actually given him. Taking his thoughts away from his father he took a deep breath of the salty air before shifting his weight to one side. His blonde hair was sticking up as it usually was and it probably didn't have much Axe gel in it anymore but it didn't matter.
The beach was vacant of people besides him. And even though he had a beach behind his house, he hadn't wanted to stay home that night. So now he was here, just standing there looking out at the ocean. He had to admit he loved living on the beach. Not only because of the beautiful girls in bikinis but also because the ocean at night could always bring him peace and calm him down when he was stressed out about something.

A curly brown headed girl strolled on the beach during the moonlight. Her hair had been blowing in the salty breeze. Her make-up was wearing off but still looked decent. She wore a pair of denim short shorts, a baggish tank top with a cool design, and a leather jacket. Chloe had a pair or sunglasses that hung off the top of her shirt. Her gladitor sandals were held in her french manicured hands. A slight smile was formed on her face. With her right hand she ruffled her long flowy hair as the wind blew lightly against it.
Chloe had been cooped up in her condo all day working on her latest fashion design. She had to admit she had a pretty awesome job. It was something she was good at and adored doing it on a daily basis. It was her passion. Chloe felt as if it was art. Not the painting or drawing kind. Clothes expressed its self. So, in Chloe's brown rounded eyes it was art. It was nice to just walk outside her condo and take a stroll on the beach when the moon had been shinning. It wasn't packed at all. It was peaceful unlike a sunny day at the beach. Chloe like relaxing on the beautiful beach.
Chloe gazed out at the ocean as the waves swayed. Her feet squished in the wet sand leaving imprents of her feet then disapearing. Her eyes wandered around. They stared in awh at the stars and the waves that were gently hitting her feet. Chloe thought she was the only one at the beach at a time like this. There was no one in sight. Maybe a couple here and there. But, not tonight. Chloe came upon a couple of gigantic rocks. She climbed on top of one. Chloe pulled her knees up to her chest as if she were hugging them. She layed her head lightly on her knees. She wore a soft smile as she watched carefully out at the gorgeous ocean.

Chance sighed once more as he looked at the scene before him once more. He knew that he should really head back home. It had to be getting pretty late, not that he had anything else to do. Turning around he prepared to start back towards his 2011 yellow Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes when his light blue eyes caught sight of a girl sitting a rock or two away from where he was standing. A smile crossed his face, glad that he wasn't the only person who came to the beach alone at night. His eyes studied her for a moment before he realized who she was.
Taking a couple of steps towards her until he was standing on the boulder beside the one that she was sitting. He looked down at her, his hands still in his pockets and a wide grin on his face as he saw she was who he thought she was. Now that he was close enough he could make out her features and she was just as beautiful as ever.
"Chloe Cassidy Taylor, what an honor it is to see you again my dear." he greeted her, bowing playfully as if she was a royal princess. Standing up straight once more he couldn't help but wonder what she was doing in LA. He had met her in Hollywood when he was filming his movie and had hit it off right away. They had become really good friends but when he had gone back to LA for a break before he went back to filming he hadn't thought he would ever get to see her again which made this a wonderful surprise.
His hands went to the pockets in his leather jacket once more as he waited for her to answer. He wasn't sure what it was about her but there was something that made him crazy, in a good way. She seemed to be one of the very few girls that didn't fall for him charm and flirty lines. She was a challenge and it seemed that the challenging girls were the ones he went after and fell for the most. And if there was one thing Chance wasn't use to, it was falling for a girl. He had never been in love and tried to avoid it because he was always afraid that once he fell in love with a girl then she would up and leave or something would happen to take her away from him like his mother had been taken away from him by cancer at the young age of seven.

Chloe felt a bit startled to hear a man's voice this late at night. She must have jumped a couple of feet into the air. Chloe turned around in a quick motion. "Chance? Chloe asked as she tried to figure out who he was. A smile formed on her face. "You want to take a seat?" Chloe asked with a smirk on her face as she patted the edgy rock. She couldn't believe Chance was at the beach. Chloe would have never guessed to see Chance unless she was in Hollywood. But, this was shocking to run into him like this on the beach. Chloe wondered if she looked okay. He was a big star and all. But, Chloe never thought of him nothing but a friend. She wasn't too foolish to fall for his charm that he used on every girl that walked past. Chloe thought he was a player with un-controlable ragging hormones. That was just her though. others would just look at Chance and be all over him. Chloe was different. She stands out from other girls. She isn't like them. Chloe was rather unique. You could never really tell what she was exactly thinking. Chloe was just Chloe and planned to keep it that way.

When she recognized him and asked him if he wanted to sit down he did, sitting down beside her before resting his arms on top of his bent knees, his eyes gazed out at the ocean for a moment longer before he finally turned his head so he could look at her. A smile was on his face once more and he leaned over so he could nudge her with his shoulder gently.
"So how have you been? I never thought I would see you in LA. How long are you staying?" he asked, only asking two questions so he didn't sound like an eager little kid who couldn't wait for the answers before asking the next question. His light blue eyes shone in the moonlight as he gazed at her, taking in her features once more. The corners of his mouth raised into a smile once more as he waited for her to answer.
He had missed seeing her as much as he use to when they were in Hollywood. The thing about Chloe that he liked so much was that he didn't feel like he had to act like some big shot star since he was famous. He just felt like he could be himself and be real with her. He didn't feel like she was judging him. She was also the only girl that he hadn't tried to kiss. He didn't want to mess things up between them and he feared that trying to pull one of his old player moves on her would ruin their friendship and that was the last thing he wanted.

Chloe let go of her legs and crossed them while leaning her hands behind her a bit. She looked at Chance and smiled at him softly. "I've been great. What about yourself?" She asked curious to know. Chance was a good friend of Chloe's although they hadn't seen each other for a while. Her brown eyes shifted out to view the beautiful ocean. The waves moved in ripples making soft sounds. Chloe inhald the salty air before answering his next question. "I actually moved here not to long ago. I bought a condo." She answered. Her condo wasn't even a mile away from the spot they were sitting right now. It was about a 100 feet away. Her brown eyes gazed a Chance for a moment before wandering them towards the ocean once again. Her gental smile remained on her lips. Her curly hair blew softly in the moonlight wind.

Chance smiled back at her as she shifted positions and then asked him how he was doing before informing him that she had moved to LA. He knew that she was into fashion and he remembered the last time he had seen her in Hollywood she was trying to get some big stars to hire her as their stylist to help launch her career. He wondered if she had had any luck so far.
"That's good and I have been alright, just taking a break from filming before I have to start my next movie. I'm glad you moved here though, I have missed seeing you almost everyday like before. How's your career going? Got any big names walking around in your fashions?" he asked, raising his eyebrows as he asked the question. He had an idea in his head and he wanted to see what she replied to that question before he spoke it.

Chloe's smile grew even wider when he asked her about her career. "Its been great actuallly." She stated moving a strand of her wave brown hair behind her. Chloe turned her upper body towards him so she could see his face. "I have been making designs like crazy."She added to her career comment from before. Chloe's brown eyes scanned Chance then smiled once more. "I can't wait to see your next movie." Chloe confessed. She was a fan of Chance. But, didn't give him special treatment for being a star. Chloe treated others just as if they were regular people. Which they were. Chloe leaned back her head while closing her eyes with a soft smile on her lips.

Chance grinned as she explained that her career was going very well. He was glad to hear that she was getting somewhere and would have a chance of fulfilling her dreams. He put his hands behind him on the rock before leaning back on them and tilted his head to the side, looking out at the ocean.
"Well ya know, I might know a few people that are looking for personal stylists if you are at all interested." he commented, trailing off a little as he continued to look out at the ocean. He was an A list actor and knew a lot of other big names that could help get her name spread around more in the upper class of celebrities and could help her get even closer to doing what it was she dreamed of doing with fashion. Finally after a long moment he turned his head to look at her, a faint smile on his face and his light blue eyes shining as he waited to see what she would say.

Chloe raised her eyebrows at him as she lifted up her head. "Hmm... Thats a tempting offer. But, I'll have to ask who is looking for a personal stylist?" She said with a grin. Chloe felt her bottom start to hurt a bit from sitting on the bumpy rock. She hoped off the rock and leaned against it. "Care to join me on a moonlight walk? Chloe teased with a smirk. She didn't like staying in the same spot for too long. She always had to be up running around doing something. Chloe looked at the beach sighing happily. She waited for Chance's response.

He smiled and looked down at the rock he was sitting on, a smile still on his face. After a moment he raised his head and turned to look at her once more. When she asked him to go on a walk he nodded before rising to his feet and climbing down off of the large boulders, jumping to the sand of the beach. Turning around he put his hands gently on her hips and helped her down off the boulder before turning and starting to walk slowly down the beach.
"Well there's me for one. And of course I know a couple of girls like Roxi May and Gemma Marcella that would be interested in seeing what you can do. And if you're as good as I know you are then they will definitely hire you." he replied, putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans. His light blue eyes shifted to look over at her before turning his attention to the sand on the ground, waiting to see what she would think.

Chloe smiled at Chance as her tan legs began to stroll slowly on the beach. She stuck her hand in her leather jacket. While the other hand was holding her sandals. Her dark wavy hair blew softly against the light wind. Her brown eyes gazed out at the ocean. "That would be fun. But, I'm not sure if I could fit you in my busy schedul." Chloe teased with a playful smile. She stuck out her tounge at him. Chloe enjoyed seeing Chance again. They had a strong bond as friends. Chloe smiled at him then looked out at the ocean once more.

Chance laughed as she stuck her tongue out at him and said she didn't know if she could fit him into her busy schedule. Taking his hands out of his pockets he wrapped one arm around her shoulders before pulling her to his side playfully. Loosening his hold on her he kept his arm wrapped around her as they continued to walk down the beach at a nice and slow pace.
"What happened to remembering us little people when you got all famous and stuff?" he teased, looking down at her with his light blue eyes as he waited for her reponse.

Chloe smiled as he wrapped his arm around her. It wasn't a big deal. They were just friends though. Nothing more. Chloe didn't think of Chance like that. He was just too much of a player. Sure he was cute but, she wasn't intrested in anything more then friends. Chloe let out a laugh, "Weren't you the one famous before I?" She asked with a smirk. He wasn't the first to hire her. She had a couple of gigs before his. Chloe looked up at Chance and grinned. Her eyes shifted back to the ocean once more.

Chance laughed softly and looked down into her brown eyes with his light blue ones. After a moment he turned his gaze to look in front of them as he thought up his reply.
"Hey we're talking about you right now. So you want the job or not?" he asked, raising one eyebrow questioningly as he waited for her answer. It would be nice to get to see her on a regular basis like he had in Hollywood. In a way, he kind of thought of her as his sister. He felt a little protective of her and didn't want to see anything bad happen to her.
