Aaron drove down the newly paved road, trying to find Maddee’s home. Behind his aviator shades his gray eyes looked at his surroundings. In his convertible the wind blew his hair around, causing it to look messed up, but still cute. There were palm trees on either side of the roads, along with a few ferns planted near the trees. He felt sick to his stomach, in a good way though. He really liked this girl, and hoped the date would go well.
He kept checking the piece of paper on his lap, trying to find her apartment building. He kept mumbling the address of the building, and searched around for it. When he finally found it he turned on his blinker and turned into the parking lot. Now all he had to do was find her apartment. He was dressed in dark wash jeans, which fit in all the right places and a white v-neck shirt with a leather jacket over it. He looked nice, but not fancy or anything. On his wrist he had a Rolax watch, where he kept on checking the time.
As he searched around for her apartment number, he couldn’t help but like the feel of her apartment building. It seemed friendly enough, and open, which was pleasant to see. Finally he found her apartment and grabbed the knocker to knock on her door. He had tiger lily bouquet gripped in both hands, as he smelled the to calm his nerves.

Maddee looked at her clock as she frantically slipped on her black leather boots. She tucked her favorite pair of dark washed skinny jeans into the boot, and tucked her curly brown hair behind her ears. She ran over to her bathroom, and began working on her make up.
She kept it light, putting on a simple layer of foundation, some eyeliner on her top lid, two coats of mascara, to make her eyes look bigger, and to finish it off she applied a thin layer of nude lip gloss. She looked over herself in the mirror once more and smiled. She was wearing a sort of floral patterned Chiffon tank top, with a tan blazer over it.
She walked over to her doorway, looking in the mirror placed next to the door, she put in her favorite pair of diamond studs, and slipped on her favorite necklace. She looked at her microwave to check the time. She began to feel the butterflies as she placed her phone in her favorite red boho bag. She checked her teeth in the mirror, even though she had just brushed them.
She heard the knock and had a semi panic attack. She took a breath, messed with her hair so it fell casually over her shoulders, and opened the door. There stood Aaron. He looked cute, as always. She smiled "Hello." she gave him a hug and then looked at the bouquet of flowers he hand in his hands. She lifted an eyebrow and pointed at them "Are those for me?" she asked. It was a pretty obvious answer, and a stupid question to ask, but she was nervous.

Aaron hugged her back, as he gave her a once-look over. She looked incredible, and it was the perfect outfit for their date, not to formal, nor too casual. He hugged her back, it was a friendly hug, but if they were hugging at the start of the date, they would be kissing by the end of it.
”You look great as always, and hello,” he greeted, thanking himself for putting on a little bit of Hollister cologne. Most guys would wear Axe, but it scared off the ladies and he was allergic to it. ”Yes these are for you,” he smirked as he handed them to her.
He still couldn’t believe he was going on a date with her. ”Ready?” he asked holding out his hand for her to grab it. He had so much planned for them to do. In a way he felt like Brad on The Bachelor, as he was the luckiest man in the world.

Maddee grabbed the flowers, and blushed a bit "Thank you, you look stunning as well." she added looking him over. She placed her flowers in a vase on the kitchen counter so they wouldn't die. She then looked at him, smiling grabbing his hand and lacing her fingers with his. "Of course I am! What do you have planned for us on this wonderful evening?" she asked, closing her door and checking to make sure she locked it. She began walking over to the elevator. When they arrived at the elevator, she pressed the down button. They could've taken the stairs, seeing as to how she only lived on the second floor, but oh well.

He squeezed her hand as they began to walk to the elevator. ”Well, if I told you it wouldn’t be a surprise, now would it?” he asked, turning the question back to her. He didn’t see a problem with taking the stairs, but elevators seemed to always be more romantic. ”What I can tell you is that we’re eating first,” he said, giving her a little bit of a hint. He was hungry already, but it was almost dinner time. When the elevator ranged, he stepped in, pulling her in as well. He took his aviators off so he could get a better look at her as well.

Maddee made a face "I guess it wouldn't be. We're eating first? Yum, where at? Or is that a secret too?" she asked in a mocking tone as he pulled her into the elevator. She pressed the lobby button, and looked at him. She couldn't stand surprises, she was impatient when it came to them. She started coming up with ideas in her head. So many choices, hers was probably way off. She looked into his eyes as he took off his glasses, she was about to say something when the elevator door opened. She turned and pulled him out of the elevator this time, smiling at the lobbyist as she stepped out.

”Stick with me and you’ll find out,” Aaron chuckled. He walked hand in hand with her through the lobby and out the glass double door to his car. He unlocked it and jogged over to her side of the convertible to open her door. ”In you go,” he insisted. He gently closed the door behind her as he went back around to the driver’s side. He sat behind the wheel, with one hand on it and the other one free; as they drove off to downtown Los Angeles. ”Tell me about yourself,” he said trying to make small talk. It wasn't a long drive, and it would feel like a even shorter ride downtown with her next to him.

Maddee smiled and slid into his car as he held the door open for her "Well thank you." she said impressed. No boy had ever opened her door for her. She looked over at him and shrugged. "I'll try not to bore you." she said half joking "Well, i'm eighteen, about to turn nineteen. I'm about 5 feet four inches tall, I love to work out, I run everyday. Um, my favorite color is teal/turquoise. My favorite food is Mac and Cheese. I play piano and guitar and i'm a singer." she tried to keep it simple, and scratched her cheek. "What about you?" she asked looking at him with an intrigued look on her face. "Tell me about yourself." she smiled at him.

He was relieved when he told her random facts and not a lifelong story. Normally he was afraid to ask because girls would blabber on for ages, but Maddee was different; in a good way. ”I recently turned twenty two, I’m about 5’11, and not quite six feet. I love to hit the beach and cook. Let’s see..” he paused to think. ”I am called a grease monkey, a sexy one, as I work on cars all day. How did you think I could afford this one? It was at a junkyard but I fixed it up quite a bit.” he stopped, feeling awfully modest.
As they arrived downtown they drove past the Kodak theatre, seeing them set up for the Oscars being set up. He forgot about that. ”Here we are,” Aaron said pointing at the ivy and handing his car off to the valet. He ran around to let Maddee out and held out his arm for her to link to. ”Is it okay?” he asked, unsure.

Maddee listened to his facts, and nodded in approval. "Grease monkey, eh?" she laughed at the term. "You're lucky. I don't even own a car." she said completely honest. She looked over at the Kodak theatre as they passed it, and saw everyone scurrying to get the Oscars set up. She nodded, "Your car is pretty nice." she said inspecting it. She looked at him as he opened her door and stood up, smiling and linking her arm with his, placing her hand on his bicep. "It's perfect." she replied honestly.

They walked arm in arm to the front, where they showed them their table since he had made renovations. The waiter pulled out their chairs, and handed them their menus. ”Well, I suppose I don’t /need/ a car, as I could walk, but I prefer to have one.” he stated. He thought about that if they became an item that he could get her a car, or at least fix her up one. ”Thanks, I try,” he said becoming modest once again. He didn’t like being modest, so he tried to stop. He began to look at his menu, everything looked good. ”Feel free to get anything you want,” he said with a smile.

Maddee nodded in agreement. "A car would be nice, but I honestly don't mind walking everywhere, it's nice & refreshing." She looked at the menu and pursed her lips, being a little indecisive. "Have you been here before? Whats your favorite thing?" she asked not knowing what was good. Maddee wasn't your typical girl on a date, she didn't stick with salads or anything like that, she ate what she want, whenever. She loved meat, since living in Wisconsin she practically ate it everyday. She never counted calories, seeing as to how she'd more than likely work it off the next day.

”I’ve never been here,” Aaron answered truthfully. He always wanted to, as a kid he always saw the Star Wars actors eating there, and he wanted to be like them. ”It gets reviews, so it be good,” he thought, or at least he hoped. He wanted the date to be fun, so he could get another date.
A lot of people sat that once you have a first date with the lucky lady then you’re dating, but that’s not how he say it. He saw it like they go on a couple of dates before he asks her to go steady. His friends had no clue what they were talking about. In fact, they were no better than middle schoolers.
”I think I’ll get a hamburger,” he said. Finger food, always a good way to go. He wasn’t into fancy food, and he was a carnivorous carnivore. ”Would you like to get wine as well?” he asked, searching for the drink list.

Maddee looked around on the menu and nodded as he said what he was going to get "Great minds think alike, I was just thinking that." she looked at him and smiled, then nodded at his next question. "Sure, you can choose what kind, i'm not fancy, I just drink whatever." she smiled at him, and set her menu down. As soon as she did that, the waiter came up and asked for their orders, Maddee recited hers, saying how she wanted a Hamburger, meduim well with fries. She handed the waiter her menu and watched as Aaron ordered his.

He smiled when she ordered the same thing. ”A girl who actually eats,” he laughed. Most girls went with pissy salads with dressing on the side, not her. It was one of the many things he liked about her. ”Same,” he said to Maddee’s order. ”I don’t know much about wine either, my buds normally order for me,” he answered. He asked the waiter for the house wine and that was that. ”I can’t believe I forgot the Oscars were on tonight!” he moaned. How could he forget? There were commercials on every minute to remind him, but he usually ignored them.
